Gijsbertha Johanna Cornejo Hessels, 1-10-1941 Rotterdam tot 31-08-2017 Kenosha, Wisconsin, was an amateur painter in the purest sense. She liked painting and painted what she loved. Mostly by head. In 1960 she left Holland for the U.S.A. Worked and continued her studies, married and had children and worked for YMCA Child- and family care in Chicago as head of staff till her pension age. On the side she always painted and was creative in other disciplines. Her fantasy landscapes clearly express reminiscence of her homeland. She was my admired and beloved sister.
